Groove Xcape

Born from one of the most unusual and conceptually ambitious collaborations in contemporary perfumery, Groove Xcape brings together Xerjoff founder Sergio Momo and Max Casacci — musical pioneer and co-founder of the legendary Italian band Subsonica. The project begins with Casacci's remarkable Groove X-capes track, created entirely from the sounds of perfume application: the hiss of the spray, the swirl of the bottle, the delicate clink of glass. From this sonic foundation, Momo crafted a fragrance that answers Casacci's music note for note.

Cardamom, ginger, pepper, and elemi open with the same layered clarity and spiced precision that characterises Casacci's production technique. Myrrh, incense, and mimosa pulse through the heart with the emotional resonance of music at its most atmospheric, while rose lends unexpected tenderness. The base of patchouli, benzoin, cedarwood, and labdanum provides the grounded, full-bodied depth of a track that knows exactly where it is going.
